Alpenglow Veterinary Specialty + Emergency Center (AVSEC) offers a completely open floor plan so all patients can be continuously monitored by staff with sight, sound and smell. There are no obstructions in our main area allowing doctors to view patients from anywhere in the treatment room.
We also provide oxygen content, humidity and temperature controlled oxygen kennels, along with sound-proof kennels for patients that are not critical in order to reduce the noise impact on other patients.
There are large runs directly in the ICU so large pets have a comfortable environment that is not separate from the main ICU area.
In addition, the space houses an isolation ward with a completely separate HVAC unit to eliminate transmission of infectious disease.
We offer a grieving/comfort room with a separate exit to provide maximum privacy and convenience. Outside, the AVSEC grounds offer a beautifully-landscaped area with a comfortable pathway, gardens and grassy area shaded by an old cottonwood tree -- all with a lovely view of Boulder's Flatiron Mountains for guardians to sit with their pets or wait for their pets to complete treatment.
The AVSEC facility is staffed with a doctor and technicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year in order to address any patient needs immediately.
