Born in Jackson, Wyoming, Mercedes Huff grew up ski racing competitively both internationally and throughout the United States. She attended college in Middlebury, Vermont where she studied psychology and neuroscience. After having dabbled in several potential careers, she finally decided at the end of her final year of college that her real calling was in veterinary medicine and decided to move to Boulder to finish the pre-requisite courses for vet school that she was unable to complete in her senior year. Several months after her move to Boulder, Mercedes was lucky enough to become part of the team at Alpenglow. Although she is getting a bit of a late start in her career, she is extremely grateful to the doctors and technicians with whom she works for allowing her to witness firsthand what a progressive, team-oriented veterinary practice can do.
